On September 21 at 6:00 p.m. at LAB in Vilnius (10 Skroblų St.), we will meet with Austėja Landsbergienė, an educator, Doctor of Social Sciences, founder of thirteen educational institutions, mother of four, and author of the book „Iki mokyklos“ (*Before School*).
This will be Austėja’s first meeting with readers, during which she will present her latest book in person—a work about childhood, parenthood, education, and the incredibly important period from birth to school.
The book explores 40 relevant topics that are important for parents raising preschoolers and the educators who teach them. It brings together research findings, the author’s authentic insights, and personal stories of motherhood. The book invites readers not to strive for perfect parenting, but to better understand their child, trust themselves more often, worry less, and find more hope.
However, this evening will not be devoted solely to reviewing the book’s content—significant attention will be given to the topic of book accessibility.
We’ll also discuss EPUB and accessible publishing. Thanks to the collaboration between Austėja and LAB, the book *Iki mokyklos* has been published in EPUB format with synchronized text and audio, and the EPUB edition is available to readers of the ELVIS virtual library.
